HPER + Dump site

Michelle and I were looking at the aerial maps of our site, and noticed how close the ditch is to the back of the dump site. If our plan goes through, we would be clearing out that entire area. What does everyone think about adding sinuosity to the ditch or making a small retention pool at the back of the dump site?

    I think this would be a great idea to improve accessibility to the stream.

    I think that it would be better if we created a bend in the HPER ditch that brought the stream over to the dump site. I have not found anything in the literature that places a retention pond in the middle of a reach.

    Isn't it kind of in the middle of the reach at SWN? There is a stretch of stream and then the pond area and then another stretch of stream. Or am I thinking about that wrong?

    You're right Erica it is situated in the middle of the creek. Maybe, as Luise suggested, a bend in the creek would be a better option.
